ABOUT US
Company History
Established as a nonprofit organization in 2021, the Tooba Africa Foundation was officially introduced to the community in December 2022 with the aim of driving positive change within the Bonteheuwel area and its surrounding communities. In March 2023, we had the honor of hosting Qāri Sheikh Mohammad Ayyub Asif, a renowned scholar originally from the UK, now residing in Egypt.
During Ramadan 2023, we launched a fundraising campaign on Facebook to acquire a vacant plot of land to advance our mission. Additionally, in Ramadan 1445 / March 2024, we held our first annual Senior Iftaar, bringing together elders from the community to share in the blessings of the holy month.

Company Summary
Our nonprofit organization is dedicated to the advancement of Islamic teachings and the provision of a wide range of community services in our local and surrounding areas. Our primary objective is the establishment of a comprehensive institution that encompasses humanitarian services, an orphanage, an Islamic school, and a Da’wah (Islamic outreach) center. We are committed to offering social support, education, and spiritual development to uplift both individuals and families.

Sheikh Moegammad Colbie
A graduate of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt (2005), currently teaches Islamic studies at Muhammadeyah Primary School in Wynberg, Cape Town. He is also an active preacher, religious leader, and motivator, contributing to various platforms and communities.
